Hehe, yes.
Or just do it normally like NV does.

There is only one possible anomaly, that is the bottom one on that page, but it not dated therefore doesnt count against NV

The way to number them to leave no doubt, Catalyst 4 version 1, Cat 4v1, Cat 4v11.

Considering the drivers are really 6.14.10.6404 etc., it really doesn't make sense to me to continue with a #.# combination if it's going to cause some people confusion, regardless of how dimwitted they may be.

They may address it, but hopefully not spend more time than a corporate lunch on it.

Um, numbering driver releases like that is pretty standard. Look at the linux kernel for example. We go from 2.4.0 to 2.4.9 to 2.4.10 to 2.4.19 to 2.4.20 (I think we're at 2.4.22 right now and 2.6.0 just got released). It's not a decimal counting system. What is 0.1 of a driver release then? What would it mean to add 0.1 to a driver release?

The first number refers to a major update, usually a complete re-write. The second number is a secondary update, and in the case of the linux kernel, the third number is a minor tertiary update. It's pretty standard.

It's like how you don't go from 3:59 pm to 3:60 pm. It's just not a base 10 decimal system.

Some day I'll be rich and famous for inventing a device that allows you to stab people in the face over the internet.

Um, I know that. I said that a while back in this thread if you'd take time to read.
Theres is a particular case that looks silly. Usually you dont see 3.1 and 3.10 within a 10 month gap.
Its just the way it played out.. but I wouldve expected something like 3.9->4.0... because I bet you that the next driver release is 4.0... and that is what makes it look strange to go from 3.10 to 4.0, when all the others went from 3.x.
The next one should be 3.11 if they are following any kind of logical pattern instead of just jumping around as they please.

I only have <A HREF="http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33731216" target="_new">this</A> for you.
Its the official thread at rage3d... better than any review IMO.
Get all the hardcore enthusiasts installing them on multiple systems and you get a much better look at how they perform/what they break/fix ect.
Reviews will be out fast if not already..

breath wusy.... its ok
Maybe that thread will keep give you the information you need.

But you wont escape the naming conversation.. its in that thread also!!

Heres to having a better day!

They seriously f**k up my system.. reverting to previous and waiting for an omega release instead... sad, I have been looking so much foward to them. I would really like to have seen an aniso./fsaa performance increase, but ever since the softmod option has been removed from omega, it has lagged.

Don't yous just hate it when you have this game that will never ever run fast/smooth enough, no matter what hardware you buy, plus you are 112% addictedt it?! =(
