Cat5e with Cat6

Is it okay that the my Cat5e cable will connect to a switch then use a cat6 cable to my computer. Is it ok? And will the computer use the cat6?

Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a are all interchangeable. The difference is the rated speed over distance. Cat5e is normally OK for domestic use as capable of gigabit upto 100meters.

yes it is backwards compatible. but it will limit to cat5e speeds.
