I recently wired my basement with Cat-6 and power cables, now some of them are on the same stud hole and I didn't pay much attention to it, but now i'm worried I might run into issues in the future, now the cables are not running together parallel but some do touch at some locations, should I rewire or would I be Ok?

Solution
Here in Australia there are certain guidelines which have to followed.

Ethernet cables are not to run in a parallel line with the mains cable, this is an unsafe practice and will affect the connection.

Instead, run the Ethernet cable over the power cable in a '+'. This is the safest way to cross cables.

In terms of stud holes you can run them both through the same hole but they can't be run in parallel between the studs.

Considering you will have them near mains cable I would recommend shielded cable (eg. Cat 6E) but this can be expensive and may not be possible.

There's a difference between doing it quickly so it works and doing it safely and correctly.

Safely??? Umm ok. Dont forget to test to ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.1-2001 and ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1-2002, If we are doing it "correctly" I want to see some numbers. What standards are we installing exactly?
