So do the drivers seem fairly stable and all? At least no new bugs? I'll probably stick with 10.8 for now, as I've finally gotten a heavily modded Morrowind running great at 1920x1080 with AA on my 5850 (unfortunately the same drivers + my 4850 is not stable with AA).

My idle clocks are still the same as the previous drivers :/ when overclocked.

Didn't fix it for me 🙁

Did it fix it for anyone else?

Well i decided to give the Catalyst 10.9s another try after seeing so so performance in alien vs predator. But considering that game is pretty graphic intense and im running it on a 32 lcd tv and a 5770 i should have expected less that blazing frame rates. So i tested crysis and i ran it on high settings with aa set 4 and it was playable and looks good. Then i tried left for dead 1 and 2 and they both ran well. I also ran bioshock wich ran nicely followed by call of duty, Delta force black hawk down and Doom 3 which also ran well.. I also tested Half life 2 and it ran nicely. I was running the catalyst 10.5s prior and did notice improvements in Crysis and left 4 dead as well as others. Overall there not as bad as i thought prior to testing all these games. Anyone else having good experiences with the latest 10.9 cats.

Crysis and Crysis Warhead benchmarks = no difference for me with 5770 from 10.4 -> 10.9 (10.9 was ~1 FPS slower). This was expected, 32 bit WXP.
Will have to try 64 bit W7 now...

F.E.A.R is completely stable with 10.9 -> ran through game twice.
Gothic 1 and 2 run like slideshows, and Gothic 3 lines remain.

I did a quick test at pc pitstop and got the results below so I am disappointed with the new driver. Is there a conscience among everyone as to which driver edition provides the best speed and preformnace?

test 10.8 10.9

2D 486, 476

3D 9373, 9318

For me, they've all been stable and performing well. Not that I benchmarked all of them, but I never noticed a change in performance which is what really matters, and any small issues that at one time or another came up seem to have been fixed (like SC2 bugs - minerals disappearing etc).

I think 10.9 is pretty good for me. I finally finished Crysis Warhead with it, Enthusiast 4xAA 1080p on a pair of 5850s and it played great, very smooth. Also tried a couple other games briefly. Hopefully when I play F1 2010 tonight it'll run nicely.

10.4 has been the most stable for me so far.

I tried 10.5 and 10.6 and then went back to 10.4.

I haven't gotten around to trying 7, 8 & 9 but I think I'll stick with 4 for now unless someone has had some significant success with 7, 8 or 9 and a single 5770, in which case I will find the time to experiment.
