catalyst 14.1 isnt installing

i am using a radeon 8670m windows 8
i have installed the new update but after it finishes the catalyst version is still 13.12
i have re-installed quite few times but nothing have changed please help

Make sure you are doing a fresh install of the 14.1 driver because for now it doesnt support update .

you have to remove the old drivers first.
use the custom uninstal option from the installer. 1s done run a reg cleaner to make sure you tidy up. then reboot and install the latest drivers.

I believe u have to uninstall the previous drivers your self before u can update to 14.1

Yeah as everyone else has said you can't just install the new version. First you have to uninstall the old one and if you have an intel processor follow the guide here to completely remove the old driver (there's about 3 GB of stuff the uninstall option misses).

i did as you guys said but it still reads 13.12
and i actually did uninstall the catalyst and install the new one before i created this topic

Did you follow the guide in the link I posted? If you downloaded the right version (14.1) and it says 13.12 after installing it's because you missed uninstalling something.

ya i did follow your guide and checked twice before installing the 14.1 and i re-downloaded 14.1 from amd but man this 13.12 thingy is not leaving me plus i downloaded star swarm to try out maybe this 13.12 is just a number but star swarm says no mantle drivers found

I'm in the same situation. I completely remove cat13.12 install 14.1beta and catalyst just says 13.12 is installed. 14.2 always crashes

Little known fact: no uninstaller uninstall completely. Im not getting paid or whatveer but RevoUninstaller uninstall all programs completely by lloking after their left behinds.

I believe it will fix your issue.(Maybe there is a better complete uninstaller but i dont know more)
