I upgraded to windows 8.1 (Pro 64-bit)and noticed that catalyst control center was giving me similar errors to other people online, AMD and their terrible drivers have given me issues three times now, so I decided to try and re-install it. Now, after uninstalling it, Catalyst Install manager doesn't even offer the opportunity to install CCC, and when I try to force it it says the hardware/software is not compatible. My hardware has not changed so it must be an issue with the software.
I have checked my driver for the graphics card itself (AMD Radeon HD 6000 series) and it is up to date. My computer is a hp pavillion dv7 6143cl with a discrete intel graphics card as well. Since this mishap my computer has been behaving like it did when I upgraded to Windows 8 to begin with and is killing my battery life, making me think that both graphics cards are being powered again. I just want CCC to work so I can get my computer back and functioning right.
