CCleaner registry cleaner made issues with my system, how can I fix my registry?

last time I use a registry cleaner...
the problem is, before I used it I could format my pc, using pc settings and now I dont...(and I wanted for sometime to do it...)
How can I revert the changes it made? .. using system restore isnt working.

ccleaner prompts you to save a registry backup each time you use its reg cleaner.go to the backup file and right click on it.it will give you the option to add these files to the registry.a far easier way is to use a program from tweaking.com called registry backup.simple to use.

When it asked you if you wanted to save a copy of the registry keys, did you?

And what do you mean you cant format your PC now, the registry has absolutely nothing to do with this?
Also system restore should fix this issue if you went far enough back.

If system restore does not revert the keys then your issue is something else entirely.

I have used CCleaner registry cleaner on probably 100 PCs by now with absolutely no issues. So either it was a random fluke problem, its user error, or your problem has nothing to do with CCleaner.

I've never got any problems from CCleaner before, but if you want to try to "repair" the system registry (for what that's worth), you can whip up a command prompt and try scanreg /fix or try some third-party registry repair software.
