CD-Rom Boot Priority HELP!

I found where you change the priority, but there is no hard drive listed there. When i did my back up for my pc, I saved it to a removable hardriver but the system wont open it or something computer is stuck on cd-ROM boot priority .. Boot Ready. It says re-boot and |Select property Bot decive or insert book media in selected boo device and press a key..

For accessing a drive it has to be bootable. Try inserting a bootable DVD (like the board's DVD or an Windows DVD) in your CD-ROM and see if it does boot from it. What program have you used for the backup?

I don't have any board dvd's or windows dvd's. I just followed what the pc asked, it asked if I wanted to creat a back-up, so I said yes, asked where i wanted it, so I used an external hard drive that's it.

Is it a laptop or desktop?

Its a desktop. I should let you know prior to this, the computer said the harddisk wasn't working righ to complete a back-up. Which i did I copied everything to a removaable hard drive but then i never actually ran the back-up..

I think that you need an Windows installation DVD.
