CD ROM for Compaq Armada 1520

Hi to All!
I need you help in the field of buying CD drive for my old Compaq Armada
1520 (Pentium 1). I have problem becuse I can't find right model. Of
course there are part numbers on the Compaq HP web page but the orginal
old parts it's dificult to get in poland. Do You know can i repace
oginal CD drive with some others?

I still see used ones on ebay from time to time, sold one there myself.
They are standard laptop IDE cd-rom drives with a different faceplate and
connector adapter on the back so its possible a current model standard
drive might just fit.
