I have this Creative cd-rw device and windows xp.
The following problem is happening:

When I write some files to a blank cd, sometimes I can't read or copy them later through windows (message: disk is corrupted). However, if I boot to dos, then I'm able to copy them back to the HD. This happens with any cd-rom device. Everything else is fine.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Is there a Firmware update available at the Creative website for that CDRW, and are you using the latest available software for WinXP compatability for the CDRW?

Aryan,

I loaded CreativeLab's NTI CD-Maker 2000 Plus and chose the "Session Explorer" option. I was then able to copy back the files to the hard disk. Therefore, the problem is related to Windows Xp or Windows Explorer not being able recognize some specific format. What am I missing?

Thanks for replying!
