CD's not working

My CD's ( Aopen DVD and Plextor 12x10x CDRW) quit working after upgrading my power supply. I checked voltages and they seem to be fine as are the connections for data. Everything else seems to work fine. I am at a loss as to what and why caused the change.

I am using an ABIT KT7A-R board and decided based on recommendations here and elsewhere to upgrade my PSU to an Enermax 465 FC because I have a lot of items connected. Is this a possible reason for my problem? I am not sure how long I have had this problem, it could have been before I changed the PSU, but it has been a while since I made any other changes.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

just check your power connections.

Try putting the old power supply back in. If the drives function normally again, then it is the power supply. If not. look elsewhere. Perhaps while switching power supplies, the bios was reset. I agree with previous responce, check the connections, I had a case where one pin of the power connector backed out, so even though the connector was fully seated, one pin wasn't.
