BTW: a few adult pictures are in the search, not exactly sure why... =/

Heh, I have yet to do an image search without turning up some pr0n. Well, besides the fact that I'm usually searching for it.

That's all I wanted to know this entire post. Thank you endyen for one of the few actually helpful posts...

This is what im sick of in the forums - if its not AMD no help is given, upgrade? buy an AMD system rather then a new cpu etc

That's because AMD pwnz0rz Intel! lol ;)

I don't think either company "owns" the other at all, same for Nvidia vs ATi. It's more for what you plan to do with it, what you need out of it, what you're willing to pay and what brand you've had good experiences with. Intel and AMD both have their strong points and they both have their shitty points.

yeah no one rules, amd has maybe 3 chips that beat any intel but at twice the price (so in theory Intel wins), performance isnt everything.

Not really buddy. Buy a 3500+ AMD for $200 and overclock it to 2.8, beats any Intel for double the price.

Cedar Mill 631 = OC to 4.7, give AMD single core an anal pounding.

Newb, please. First off, get that to 4.7 on air, you can't. Use Phase Change on an AMD, I've seen 4GHz FX-55, so please, don't start with your "Intel 4.7 pwns 3GHz AMD!" because I'll just whip out a 4GHz FX-55 and slam my big one in your rear end. And in case you're wondering, I have seen a 4.8GHz AMD CPU, so :p.

Incase you are retarded, I will explain.
-Cedar Mill's hit 4.5 ON STOCK INTEL COOLING, which sucks my ass.
Stop pulling shit out of your ass, and do some research.
http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2578&p=3
-Intel's have hit 7.2 on phase changing/LN2.
-extremesystems superpi championship 1m is won by Intel oc'ing.
-Don't even bring phase changing into this. Intel's can hit 7+ghz on that, which gives a "4ghz fx55", (which is really about 3.9 stable) a run for the money.
-No AMD is stable at 4.8ghz, and if I'm wrong, which I'm not, prove it.

-Cedar Mill's hit 4.5 ON STOCK INTEL COOLING, WHICH IS WORTHLESS.
And, ask anandtech.com if you don't believe that.

Wow, you're a hardcore Intel fanboy, and I think you win the award for being the more hard core intel fanboy on these forumz, way to go! Since you're the hugest newb on these forumz, let me englighten you to something...GHZ DOESNT MATTER! Which is why a 2.2Ghz 3700+ can wipe the floor with a 3.6Ghz P4, uh oh, thats a 1.4Ghz deficiency, but it beats it still, :O. BTW, an FX-57 @ 3.7Ghz, gets 21 seconds on superPI 1M, what did your nice 7Ghz P4 get? 10 minutes? Even if it got 20 seconds, thats sad it takes 8GHz to match 4GHz AMD, so sad...so sad..

EDIT: Link So sad it took 7.1GHz to beat a 3.7GHz AMD, and it only did it by a few seconds, man that is some sad performance lol.

I never said gigahertz alone is all that matters. I said that an Intel at its max power on LN2 is more powerful than an AMD at its max power.

BWHAHAHAHA, you definately implied that GHz matters since you're saying "Intels overclock like crazy!" in every post. And no, Intel max power does not beat AMD max power, on any cooling device, thanks fanboy.

Implying they overclock like crazy means they hit a higher percent versus stock speed genius, I never said "2 ghz or more." And, show me a 3.9 amd beating 6.6 intel. Just show me, I'd love to see you try and prove it.

Well, sorry if I don't waste $4000 on Liquid Nitrogen systems, but I can guarantee you that a 3.9GHz FX-55 will beat a 6.6 GHz P4, and if it can't, I'm sure the 6.1GHz Opteron 64 can have a hay-day with your 6.6 or 7.4 P4, so you're arguments are done fanboy.
