I've had CenturyLink, formerly Embarq, for a number of years. I've been generally happy with their service...
Until now.

Basically my problem is that my internet will work fine for about 20-25 minutes.
Then it will slow down.
Then it will stop completely.
Then it will cycle through a series of messages on my internet browser such as:
"If you have just set up this internet... blah blah blah."
"Google chrome cannot find this page."
"Unable to connect to the internet."

I know that's not exactly what each of them are saying, but I paraphrase out of sheer frustration.

After about 5-10 minutes of waiting around and twiddling my thumbs, the internet goes right back on.

I've called CenturyLink twice in the past 24 hours. One of them told me they were going to send a technician on July 26th... I realize that's good news. But really? A month wait for a crappy problem like this?

The other guy told me to follow the steps of connecting it directly to the modem to see if the internet cuts off then. It did.

So I'm left with no answers and this problem isn't getting any better.'

Any ideas?
