when trying to launch ffix, portal 2, far cry 3, vrchat, or undertale on steam, the games start to launch, but then give up after a few seconds before anything even displays
portal 2 i was able to fix in the past with an incredibly long and convoluted series of windows troubleshooter steps + certain launch parametres. vrchat still launches from the exe file in the folder (but this doesn't give me access to the graphics settings, which you need steam for)
this only began sometime after going from windows 10 to 11. verifying file integrity, reinstalling steam, turning off background programs; none of this worked. i think this actually began prior to when i had to reinstall windows 11 for something and it's still going on
