I have a Macbook Pro (Mid 2012 Retina) and I can not access a certain website any more regardless of how it is connected to the web. I have even tried while on a business trip in San Francisco and I live in San Diego. This happened once before a year or so ago and I took it to the Bozo Bar at the Apple store and he fixed it in about 30 seconds by doing something in some hidden files. He would not tell me what he was doing because he said that it was too easy for me to screw things up. Anybody know what could cause this and how to access these "hidden files" to fix it? I am running El Capitan ver 10.11.1.

Could be the Hosts file http://osxdaily.com/2007/03/19/block-access-to-specified-sites-by-modifying-etchosts/
As always, edit at your own risk and make sure you backup (and know how to restore) first.
