Hey guys
I have built myself a system, and after assumed DOA graphics card, finally got output by placing it directly onto the MoBo, but I cant leave it there.
I have cheaper PCI-E risers, and cant get any output what so ever, I do chain them though because a single one isn't long enough. Am I able to chain them? do I need to jump the second one?

Like with all cables there is a defined length, or a maximum length where a device connected to them will work.

When the cable gets longer, any cable type at all the resistance for electricity and signals that travel down the wire become much less and weaker.

A Pci-e cable will also have a set length or limit to how long it can be before the effects come into play.
So if the card works with on a single riser cable, but not two chained together.

You have reached the maximum length it can be in order to carry a good signal, and also any power that is passed along the cable Fireger.

So i should i invest in a single, long, powered riser than?
