Dell Latitude e5550 is currently set to legacy boot; can i simply change it to uefi boot?

just now discovered it was set that to Legacy (bought it used off eBay re-seller over a yr ago with Win-10-pro & new Samsung 500GB MZ7LN512HCHP-000L1 ssd)

- is it OK to simply reconfigure bios from current legacy boot setting to uefi since it has the newer ssd in it? ?

or will it then fail to boot?

is there any reason to do it?
