Change ownership of computer

We have recently had some employees leave our firm and I need to know how to change the ownership of the computer to show spare. We have changed it on the properties tab but when we get into programs such as Adobe Acrobat and Excel is still says it is the previous employees name. How can I fix this problem?

I think you would create a new account on the machine and delete the old one or :

Take a look at this, it basically uses the same Sid but renames the account so you do not have to reinstall software.
