Long Story Short:
-Used 192.168.0.1 and Changed my router/modem LAN NAT settings to "go through the device" or something like that, trying to open the NAT
-Unit reset after I did this and shut down the wireless network and then I couldnt get back into the router using the IP address to fix it
-Called cable company and they were able to get into the router using 192.168.0.1 and bring my wireless network back online BUT I still couldnt get in on my side and they had no clue why

How do I get back in!! Please advise! :??:

FULL STORY
I went into my router and tried to open the NAT settings for easier connection with Xbox Live. I have my xbox hard wired into the router/modem combo and went into the LAN settings and changed NAT to something like "go through the device, not the router". The unit made the changes and reset but when it came back, only a hard wire to the router gave me internet and my wireless network shut off. I couldnt get back into the router using the same IP address as before, in attempt to change everything back. So, I called the cable company and they successfully went into the router using the SAME IP address as before and turned the wireless back on. But I still couldnt get in the router and havent been able to since!! I tried using ipconfig to get the routers IP address and now its in IPv6 version (which it wasnt before) and I tried looking at the IP next to IPv4 in the command prompt (22.xx.xx.xx) and that wont get me in as well...

Solution

You probably put the modem/router in IP passthrough mode. You'll likely need to do a factory reset of the modem to regain access.

One thing you can try is manually assign an IP address of 192.168.0.10 and subnet 255.255.255.0 on your PC. That may allow you to access it on 192.168.0.1.

Note: you should remove the 22.x.x.x IP address from your original post, as that is a public IP address that can be used to attack your network.
