Stop doing evil things and start doing good things.

I am in chapter 2 city of Luskan in NWN original campaign. is there anything
specific I could do, I do not know how to be good. I see this is going to
involve some thinking 🙁

Find every quest you can, and do anything that sounds like a kind act.
If people offer you money and you have the chance to refuse it, do so.
If everything else fails, I believe you can use console commands to
change your alignment. ::ducks::

What's worrying me is that no-one's taking this as a sign of the level of
moral decrepitude that gamers seem to be sinking to...

Try to help people. Based on your alignment shifting toward evil, I
would guess you've been doing at least one of three things:
1) Trying to extort money from people.
2) Killing people.
3) Solving quests in an evil way rather than a good way (such as helping
the priest of Talona steal the artifacts in Chapter One).

Stop doing all of those.

Alas. AFAIK, you cannot change alignment using console commands. Only
the DM tools in the DM client, or scripting functions, can change
alignment. I suppose you could write some generic "shift towards
alignment X" scripts and place them in your /override and run them with
the dm_runscript console command...

Yeah, I was beginning to doubt that alignment shifts were possible with
the console. It's surprisingly limited in what you can do.

Just curious, what Deity does your character follow. The CoT class
fits well for many deitys as it can be used for for the appropriate
alignments.

I would assume you dont have any paladin levels on your character, else
you would have a fallen token by now.

If you wanted to play a heroic knightly type of character then here is
a good guideline on how to avoid alignment "issues"

* Defend any responsibility given, even unto death.
* A Knight's word is his law.
* Show courage in all things.
* Show honor to those above one's station.
* Earn respect from those below one's station.
* Leadership is the responsibility of the high-born and the fit.
* Battle is the test of worth (rated higher or lower depending on
faith)
* Be courteous to all (wo)men.
* Bring death to those who raise their weapons against a Knight or
those entrusted in the Knight's protection.
* Choose death before dishonor.

If you need some info on the faith of Torm in Faerun, ask and ye shall
receive.

Or you could just enjoy your new evil alignment on your character, go
with the flow and stick with it, add some blackguard levels next time
or assassin?

Enjoy..

Darkpowder.

I just wonder - has anyone here ever finished NWN with a chaotic evil
character? Is it at all possible?

Oh indeed I have. hehe. I even reached the level cap of 40 with her. her name is salah. lvl 38 sorcerer, 1 in monk, 1 in pally, then turned wicked evil and such. Deekin as a follower because of his support casting. Shes focused on necromancy magic, and as such basically runs into the room and casts Wail of the Banshee to kill everything. Anything that survives gets wanton usage of chain lightning shoved up their ass. Problem solved, and a few civilians dead to boot.
