Changing AMD CPU FX6100 to FX8350

Hey Everyone!

Is it nice and simple to install a new CPU. can i just take the old one out and plop the new one in. Start up the pc and its all happy.... or am i forced in re-installing everything!

nope only when u change mother boards need you reload windows....your fine. just add new paste and remount your fan.

Nice and simple, Take the old one out and put the new one in.
Make sure to clean the old thermal paste from the hsf and apply a new layer!

Upgrade the BIOS before pulling the old chip out. I'm pretty sure the FX-8350 came out a bit later than the Sabertooth R2.0.

0219 bios or later....if u have it your good
