Question Changing AMD gpu to Nvidia

Hi I have an RX 7800xt GPU and currently one fan stopped working so I went to service centre and they are replacing my GPU. It would take 14 days to replace so I am wondering can I install a Nvidia GT 740 which my cousin has a spare that I can use my system if I wish bcoz my CPU doesn't have any integrated graphics.

Also if I do install GT740 on my system and using DDU uninstall AMD adrenaline and install Nvidia drivers. Will it work fine on this scenario since I already submitted my GPU at service centre 😞?

That should be fine. You can use DDU, but it's not necessary. There is nothing wrong with AMD's built-in driver uninstall process.

Personally I find Nvidia drivers more problematic when they are removed then amd drivers id use only ddu if drivers fail to be removed manually. I have had a few stubborn Nvidia drivers in terms of removal.
