[SOLVED] Changing Chrome new tab background

Hi everyone, I reset Chrome and I'm trying to get it back to how it used to be. I had a background image on new tab but with Chrome theme remaining the default. I now note you cannot do that, when you change the background, the whole theme changes colour which means the browser toolbars are a different colour.

How do I change just the background / wallpaper image and not the theme?

Essentially I want to keep the default theme but change the background. Has this changed? Cheers.

Thank you. Google must have changed the customisation as you used to be able to just select a background wallpaper without affecting the theme. I will upload a wallpaper manually. Cheers.
