Changing deployed softwares source & modifications

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.win2000.group_policy (More info?)

I'm currently deploying Office 2003 via group policy but I want to change
the path on the source and modifications file to be another server as I'm
retiring the currently one.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some resources on how to do this.

Damon,

The only way to do this is to remove the Office 2003 assignment, and create
a new one. This will trigger a complete uninstall & reinstall on all
affected client machines.

I just deleted the package in my GPO and told not to uninstall the app.

Then I created a new package in the SAME gpo and deployed from the new
location.

It still deployed to all clients, but it didn't take the time to uninstall
Office 2k3 and it seemed to have deployed much faster.
