Hey guys, I'm thinking of changing out my monitor for a new one. Currently have a Viotek curved monitor that runs at 75HZ, but I'm looking to upgrade to 144 HZ, or possibly even 240Hz. The BENQ XL 254 is what I've been looking at lately (https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-Response-Equalizer-Adjustable-XL2546/dp/B06XT6XQ6V), but I wasn't sure if I would be benefiting with my specs, so I just wanted to make sure with you guys. Off topic, but j/w if anyone suggests I switch out my MOBO or CPU anytime soon. GPU is smooth sailing and I don't plan on gaming 4k since I mostly play Valorant, League, and random triple AAA titles every now and again.

MOBO: Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080
CPU: i7-6700k @ 4.00GHz
RAM: 32GB

I'd get this instead due to it being cheaper, Freesync (using DP with your 1070) and VA (better colors then TN).

However if your not playing a lot of first person shooters I'd recommend a 21:9 monitor at 100hz as its a far better gaming immersion. I know LoL supports 21:9 but Valorant doesn't, at least not yet but it could get that support eventually. As-is you'd have black bars but it's possible your other games would support it, just Google <game name> 21:9 and check out...

And if there isn't any native support there could be a fix online.

The reason for the upgrade is primarily for FPS games. I used to be HUGE into CSGO years ago, and plan to put a great deal of time into Valorant. I stream, and I plan to achieve max rank once they've released it, so I was just thinking it was time to at least upgrade to 144Hz. Thank you! That monitor looks great as well.
