Question Changing permissions in shared folders

My wife's computer can't access shared folders (actually, she can't even detect them). I'm wondering if it's because of permissions. I can't checkmark the boxes for Full Control. I get an error message that says "failure to enumerate objects in container. Access denied." How do I enable Full Control?

When you open the File Explorer and click the View tab, is the Hidden Files box checked? If not, check it.
