Changing volume of C drive without formatting

I have genuine Win 8.1 I have previously posted in forum on how to format C drive only. I have done that and have formatted my whole system and drives using Dell's system recovery option. Now my drives are empty but still didnt got option to change volume in C drive. So can you suggest me how to increase its volume without formatting it? Please b detailed. Thank you in advance.
