I have been using this PSU for 2 years now, I haven't encountered any problems with it yet

https://ibb.co/z8bkrkc

my config is:
Pentium g4560
16gb ram
1tb hdd
hd 610 integrated graphics

This PSU is advertised as being 500W, but I suppose 10A on 12V rail is really bad

My question is, would I be able to put any discrete gpu to my pc, for example gt 1030 or rx460, of course without the risk of the PSU frying them, or do I need to buy a new PSU?
Regardless, would you recommend me getting a new PSU even with my current build, or is it ok?

yup no doubt about it. it is a 125w psu at best. sticking with it is a bad idea, and thinking of adding a gpu is a REALLY REALLY bad idea.

do your system a favor and put in a real psu that will last and not burn down your house when it goes. as a treat make it strong enough to add a gpu if you wish to. if you need some recommendations, just let us know where you would like to buy from and a budget and we'll be happy to offer some good suggestions for you.

keep in mind though that $20 is not going to cut it. prices have come down some but psu's are still kind of expensive so think at least $50 maybe more depending on where you are and current stock

The top one VS series is mediocre. The rest of them are decent I guess...though I would suggest you go for gold rated ones instead as they have higher quality components in them which means you're PC will last longer.

dino999 Hello. Looking at the label, it looks like you have a 120 watt power supply (12 volts multiplied by 10 amperes). Am I correct in assuming that you live in Columbia? If so, which website would you prefer to order a PSU from, and what's your budget?

No. It's advertised as 200W. MS-500 is just the model.

But you're right, it's not even a 200W PSU really. Only 120W on the +12V? I have laptop power bricks with more power than that.

Also have to love the complete lack of any certifications. They didn't even bother with the fake "China Export". :D

These are all terrible (by today's standards) and some are quite old. Are they all used or something?

I mean... of the lot, the Nexus stands out. It was solid for it's time. But I haven't seen one of those in..... 12 years?
