Hi guys,

So i've recently aquired an R9 290X 4GB with a EK-FC-R9-290X Acetal and Nickel Ek Water block attached to it.

My current PC specs are:
Fractal Design core 1000 case (microatx case)
i5 2500k
asus p8p67m mobo (microatx)
two 1TB drives in RAID0
two 7770s in crossfire
corsair cx430 power supply

I will ofcourse be upgrading my power supply.

I don't have much to spend on parts maybe £60~, I will be buying from the UK.

From what i've read up i'll need a CPU cooling block, a pump, resovoir and a radiator right?

Thanks!

Any one of those parts is going to run you at least 60. Watercooling isn't inexpensive. If you didn't already have the 290, I would have said to get the EK predator series since that's premade and is expandable, but that's going to run $250+US. My custom hardline watercooling for 2 980 Ti's and 5820k was about $1,200.

Spend that cash on an aftermarket air cooler or buy a used air cooler from the stock version of your card off ebay and install it. You wont find any custom watercooling parts worth their salt around your budget, as a whole or individually.

i dont even think you're going to find any parts bad or good inside that budget. you could maybe find a cpu block inside that price. maybe a small radiator. but either or. you'd use up the budged on just one part. you'll want about 250-300 to throw at a custom loop.

i agree your money is better spent finding an air cooler for it, or if you aquired this card from somebody you can still contact, ask if they have the original air cooler for it. if they wont just give it to you, they'll likely trade for the waterblock thats worth more.
