cheap desktop towers

say i wonder why there are some cpu desktop towers that is like...31 bucks? why is it so cheaper? and can i ask anyone something? some browsers won't work on certain towers? is it why some are that cheap? i'm thinking about getting the cheapest desktop tower becuase who knows? future years, things might go up so high o.o

In most cases, if desktop towers are cheap it's because they're either old or defective, if a desktop is that cheap, it would usually mean its too old for any real efficient use with modern programs.

Just take a look at the specs, give them a quick Google and see when the parts were released.

Generally the cheap ones are refurbished. Used tends to be a bit more as is open box.

they're usually that cheap because they're old and used/refurbished, and even for their time they weren't especially good, and today they're even worse. (some basic tasks are bit heavier, like websites are more flashy than they used to be)

But if your needs are basic, like email and web article browsing, they can still work, till the wear and tear catches up to them.

The low price could also indicate dead technology and no realistic upgrade path.
