Cheap PSU extension cables

Dear Tomhardware users,

For Aesthetics purposes I wanted to have all white psu cables. My first tought was to costum sleeve all PSU cables which takes quite a bit of time/work. Now I have discovered that very cheap PSU extension cables can be bought from amazon/ebay, originating from China. My question is whether there are some risks/dangers associated with cheap PSU extension cables. I'm quite buget minded, so If cheap PSU extension cables won't have an negative impact on my PC components, I would opt to buy them.

But I actually mean really cheap PSU extension cables, I have come across some on ebay for as litlle as 2-3$, not from a reputable brand. Could those extension cables possibly damage some components ? In otherwords could "lower quality" extension cables harm my pc ?

If I'm honest you'd be better going with some SilverStone or BitFenix Alchemy adapters, like they're only $10 more. That's not exactly going to make you Bankrupt!
