Hello there. I'm am very limited in budget, so even 240GB version is problematic to buy, so i am looking for the cheapest SSD drive with still good enough parts into it.

I found in my shop few models avaliable to buy:

  • Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB (or 120GB) [ Controller: prob. SF | NAND Flash: MLC ]
    Silicon Power Slim S55 240GB (or 120GB) [ Controller: prob. PS3108-S8 | NAND Flash: MLC ]
Silicon Power Slim S60 240GB (or 120GB) [ Controller: prob. SF | NAND Flash: MLC ]
Silicon Power V60 240GB (or 120 GB) [ Controller: prob. SF | NAND Flash: MLC ]
    Goodram CX200 240GB (or 120 GB) [ Controller: Phison PS3110-S10 | NAND Flash: Toshiba 15nm TLC NAND Flash ]

I've read that MLC NAND memory much better, but it is more expensive.
Also i've found that SandForce controller is old and bad as well, which used in Kingston SSD i posted.

Could you please help me with choise?
SSD will be used primarly for OS and bunch of software.

V300 all three SSDs.
The one with the SMART resetting issue had it from the beginning. It's not something it was developed later. If you decide to buy one of these, make sure it's from a store which accepts returns.

Well, Kingston has new UV400 SSDs with Marvell 88SS1074 controller and TLC memory. There are no review yet, but i found few videos on YouTube with tests and it seems to be pretty good. 240GB verison costs slightly more that 120GB Intel's 535. Also, price is close to Goodram CX200.

Any thoughts about UV400?
