Kkensa, by all means, purchase an i7 or a fast Xeon E3 processor if you want to fit it into the budget. They're great processors. Like I said before, most (MOST) games are not taking advantage of more than 4 cores. The only difference between an i5 and an i7 is that the i7 is 4 cores + hyperthreading, which effectively makes it 8 virtual cores. Any game out there that loves to have a ton of cores to play with will run better with an i7, but the vast majority will not. As to his point in me linking out of stock GTX 1080's - most 1080s are out of stock right now. So unless you absolutely have to order it today, I would wait until the cheapest model becomes available. The MSRP was announced at $600, and personally, I would wait until 2 come in stock at $600 if you're on a budget.
