Hey I am working on a Gaming Computer to replace mine which is becoming out dated. I dont see any incompatibility, but would appreciate if someone could check everything, critique my build, and let me know for any improvements i could make without straying from the current cost. Thanks!

Planning on using my Radeon HD 6870 2GB and purchase a R9 290x 4 GB in a month or so to get the graphical power.

Id like to stay under 600, so have 40 dollars if i need to upgrade a any of the above parts. If you have a better cheaper part that be ok also :)

Thanks!

Only thing that I would highly recommend that you change is the power supply. That unit is by no means bad, but for the same price the newer version is much better quality.

Another change that is more up to you is changing the CPU and motherboard. The 8350 is a good CPU, but a locked i5 can out perform even an OCed 8350 it in most games out there including ones some that can utilize the 8350s extra cores.

Along with switching the CPU you have to switch the Motherboard, but H97 boards are relatively inexpensive and have good features bar overclocking and SLI capabilities.

Here are my suggestions:

Intel Core i5-4460 Haswell Quad-Core 3.2GHz LGA 1150 BX80646I54460 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4600

if you want the ability to SLI/Crossfire and overclock if you decide to upgrade to a broadwell CPU in the future this is also a great choice for ~$15 more

Hope I helped.
