heey guys,

so i got this friend of mine who asked me yesterday if i wanted to build a pc for him.
i said i would look into it and see what i can do, he gave me a budget around the 1000 euros , the current build i have in the link below. is 1200 euro but with monitor.

i just want to know if you guys aprove of this build and/or have any remarks that could be beter/faster/cheaper for this build since i'm really budget based for this one.

https://be.pcpartpicker.com/list/zXbhwV

don't worry about storage options , this build has an 250GB SSD M.2 just for Os and other apps. it will later include a 1TB hard drive for pictures, videos and music.

also the power supply was an example. i still have a 650W gold plus power supply that my buddy can have :)

thnx for the fast answers in advance !! :D

Which country are you buying in specifically? Assuming this is a gaming system?

Which 650W PSU do you have that you'll put in there? While almost anything will be better than your example Sharkoon junk listed, it would be useful to know, before recommending it power anything.

belgium.
and yes i assume hes gonna do gaming the most.
and yes it is a 650W PSU from sharkoon, i know this is garbage.
but it should deliver the right amount for this pc right ?
it ran fine on a I7 7700 K with gtx1070i card in it.
or was that just its limit ?
should i be looking more for a 750W corsair PSU or something similar?

thx for the reply ! :D
ps. sorry for my writing it's not my native language :)

Apologies, I didn;t see the "be" at the start of the PCPP address.

I'm very surprised the Sharkoon ran a 7700K + 1070, but even if that's the case - I'd say it's time to put that to rest. I wouldn't suggest building a rig with a Sharkoon, let alone a rig for someone else who's going to blame you if there's problems.

Let's land the other components first, then worry about the PSU. LEt me take a look. Any preferred websites for hardware components in Belgium?

thnx for the reply :)

Unfortunately, to set your friend up with a solid setup - I'd skip the 144Hz monitor for now.
The best GPU you can get in there is a 6GB 1060 (or preorder an RX580 and wait*), and that's not going to drive 144FPS/Hz most of the time.
A decent 60Hz 1080p monitor will do for now.

I'd also run with the stock cooler of the R5 1600, to avoid the added expense of the TX3, which isn't very good anyway.

**NOTE** The changes I made will give you/your friend quite a few benefits:
1. A board capable of OCing the Ryzen5 (only B350 and X370 can, A320 cannot).
2. The stock Ryzen cooler is arguably better, but at least comparable to a TX3.
3. 144Hz would be a waste, as the best GPU within budget (6GB 1060) won't keep up with the refresh rate
4. A quality PSU
5. Faster RAM speeds (3000MHz) - Ryzen benefits from faster RAM speeds
6. SSD (albeit budget) + 1TB HDD pairing
7. Subjectively "better" Case - I've never heard of that Cooltek (might be good, might not be)

thank you man, this build will satisfy my buddy more.
good for noticing that board, i'm not really home in de AMD boards. and didn't know it wouldnt overclock :D
i exactly have another case also in mind wich looks pretty cool.
since my friend wanted something with tempered glass. i ended up with this case:

is this case suitable aswel ? :)
