I do proofread but writing so much in one day means not every typo is caught.
Each news editor is also responsible for posting and proofing someone else's stories. On any given day, one editor writes between eight and ten stories and edits the same number of stories from someone else.
We work with a skeletal staff, we do our best and we're constantly trying to improve on what we already do. I'm really sorry if it ruins your experience or you think it's ridiculous, but like I said, we do our best with what we have and we're constantly trying to get better.
