Chipset Drivers Will Not Install

I keep getting: This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Setup will exit. I am trying to install from a disc that I burned directly from the Dell site, using my PC's serial number. File is: Intel AMT-HECI_A02_R255437.
When the files unzip (they are unzipping successfully), are they supposed to install automatically? Or do I have to find them on my computer? If the latter, I can not find a place where I install the drivers individually.
I have tried re-installing Windows 2-3 times, to see if that should clear things up. It doesn't. Sometimes, when I try to install windows, I get the error message: nvrd32.sys not found. Setup will exit. So I try again to re-install, and the error message does not show.
Is there a file that I must install before the chipset drivers?
Someone told me the computer is looking for my video card, which I took out. Why/how could it be doing that, when I just did a fresh install? I see no video device listed in DOS.
I know I have a lot of questions, which may or may not be important, but if anybody could help me get any closer to getting these chipset driver package to install, that would be great. I'm about to throw the computer out, because I have no idea what the problem is and I just spent $120.00 on a "technician" who came here and was absolutely clueless.

The dell website has clear instructions on how to properly install them:

Hard Drive Installation (via WinZip) with Setup.exe File for Intel_AMT-HECI_A02_R255437.exe Download 1.Click Download File, to download the file. 2.When the File Download window appears, click Save (Windows XP users will click Save) this program to disk and click OK. The Save In: window appears. 3.From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop. 4.If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file icon appears on your desktop. Install 1.Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled Intel_AMT-HECI_A02_R255437.exe. 2.The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R255437. Write down this path so the executable (I.e. Setup.exe) file can be found later. 3.The Self-Extractor window appears. 4.Click OK. 5.After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor window is still open, close it. 6.Click the Start buttonand then click Run. 7.Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R255437 in the Open textbox and then click OK. 8.Follow the on-screen installation instructions.

I have a couple of problems with what you are (or Dell is) saying. For one thing, like I said, I burned this driver CD at the public library, so I could not "save to desktop". I burned to disc and brought it home. When I inserted the disc, the files unzipped successfully at C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R255437. Then, I got the message about my computer not having "...the minimum requirements".
If I drag the aforementioned file onto my desktop, are you saying that a "self-extracting window" will appear and then I can follow through with typing the file name into Run?

I don't have those files but from what I can tell it should be a driver package that covers a lot of systems including yours. It seems that Dell should give more instructions on what to do afterwards but it may also be just simple commonsense. So once you open that folder (C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R255437) what do you see inside?

I also have some questions for you. What windows XP Pro do you have? Is it 32bit or 64 bit? Also you mentioned something about removing your GPU. Which GPU are you using at the moment?

Hi. Thanks for continuing to try to help. When I click on the file, I get " files successfully unzipped". Then, when it apparently tries to automatically install, I get This computer does not meet the minimum requirements. for installing the software. Setup will exit".
I have the 32 bit Windows XP Pro. The video card I had in the PC is the ATI FirePro 2260 PCI.
I've noticed that when I go to Dell website and rather than inserting my service tag number, instead I just go to "Optiplex 755" drivers, it includes two files that are not listed when I go to the page specifically for my machine. One is Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility, v.8.3.0.1013, A19, and the other is Intel AMT SOL/ LMS, v.3.2.20.1049 PV, A02. I do not know what, if any, significance this has. I'll try to install them tomorrow.
I'll haul out the computer then, and give it another go and let you know how it went. Maybe that self-extractor will show up once I put the file on the desktop, and maybe the driver set will run when I click Run.

You are unlucky because you are dealing with a very old system (with very old/obsolete drivers) and the driver package was covering many machines with different configs. Maybe someone made a mistake during the creation of that compressed file and that error never got fixed.

As for the 2 other files you found, you may try to download and install them. If they aren't for your system they won't install. Finally you always have the option of manually trying to download those chipset drivers from the net. Just write down the chipset's code name and search for its drivers on the net or on Intel's site.
