Question chkdsk checks the wrong hard drive

I'm currently getting a BSOD for "critical process died" and I used the command prompt to run chkdsk C: and it shows the drive I have as F: instead. The model it displays, Samsung 970 EVO is my F: drive, but if I run chkdsk F:, nothing shows up for it.

Try chkdsk without C: because by default,Chkdsk will scan C Drive

Do you have a link to support that? All other Command Prompt commands I know of defaults to <current drive> when drive letter is omitted. And that has been the case since at least MS-DOS 2.0.

No Proof Available,Unfortunately...All sites I Have Visited Always Recommend to Insert A Drive Letter when Typing Chkdsk..
Here, Let Me Explain:
When I Said "By Default,Chkdsk Will Scan C: Drive", I mean Chkdsk Will always scan C: Drive with or Without "Chkdsk C:" Because it's Always selected by Default when you open CMD...Haven't tried this to other CMD commands Though.
To change the Selected Drive Temporarily:
1.Goto CMD
2.Type #: (Substitute # with the Drive Letter You wish To Select,If its Drive H,Then type H: )
3.Type Chkdsk
