Hi everyone, I ran CHKDSK /F and then the CHKDSK /R on CMD which ran both times on system boot.

These were both successful, there were no known errors and no FOUND.000 folder is available on the C drive.

My question is does running these commands when there is nothing wrong with the SSD cause any problems? Do I need to reset Windows 11 even though everything works fine?

I ran these scans because a while back I had a BSOD which was a one off event and hasn't occurred since and I thought may have been related to the SSD, but I am worried that running the CHKDSK prompts may have affected my laptop when it turns out the SSD is fine.

Many thanks

There should not be any problems.

If there is nothing found that needs to be fixed etc. then nothing should happen.

FYI:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/w...ion/windows-commands/chkdsk?tabs=event-viewer

And end users have control parameters over what CHKDSK does.

For example, from the link:

"Checks the file system and file system metadata of a volume for logical and physical errors. If used without parameters, chkdsk displays only the status of the volume and does not fix any errors. If used with the /f, /r, /x, or /b parameters, it fixes errors on the volume."

Thank you very much.
