New build pending for video editing PC & general work apps (no games)
Had held off for AMD R9 releases.

Asuming I go for an R9 9900, I was considering using ASRock B650E Taichi Lite, at £290 ..... I don't want to buy higher, but would it be better to look at a x670 chipset board ?
eg. The ASUS PRIME X670E-PRO WIFI Is cheaper at £278
I want to have:
DDR5
AM5 socket
PCI-E 5.0
2 x M.2 sockets
WiFi6E 2.5Gb LAN
USB 3.2
USB 4 would be nice to have

Sort of assuming x670 based is better option, Is there an optimum choice, is there a better x670 board to consider?

The feature sets you're looking for can be found on a B650 chipset, not the B650E(which often times goes for higher).

Where are you located? Please don't state Europe, we can tell by your currency, we'd need to know what country so we can narrow down options you have access to.

UK.
I don’t mind paying for B650E if it futures proofs for longer.
However been googling and some reviews suggest x670 may be better.
Looking to make a well informed choice.

dependings what your pairing with this board b series chipsets are fine as someone who uses b550 on am4 ive zero complaints.

are you planning to overclock the processor ?

there are many strenghts in motherboard types as well

e.g atx is most power hungry

micro atx boards are less power hungry

mini itx are the most efficient.

it really depends on how many devices your planning to hook up to the board.

im from uk also and tend to focus on good value and energy efficiency.
