Question Choosing a Laptop

I will be going on Erasmus studies in October and I am looking on buying a Laptop for it.

I am between T480S 20GB Ram with i5 8250u with 552gb ssd and UHD 620 graphics with a grading of "A" Refurbished for 300 euros.
A HP Elitebook 840 G6 Grade "A" Refurbished Intel Core i5- 8365u with 16gb ram and 512M2 for 230 euros

A Dell Inspiron 15 3250 with cpu i5-1235U, 8GB Ram with 512 ssd for around 400 euros and almost brand new.

My budget is around 300 to 350 euros.
I want to do school related stuff but also be able to play games such as league of legends and indie games.
What would be a good choice from the ones mentioned or at least would u suggest a different one for the same money? Around 300 to 350 euros. Thank you very much !

If the 3 listed above are all you have acces to, then I'd pick up this;
A Dell Inspiron 15 3250 with cpu i5-1235U, 8GB Ram with 512 ssd for around 400 euros and almost brand new.
as it has native Windows 11 support, while Windows 10 is going to run aground towards the end of this year but you're going to struggle with only 8GB's of ram in 2025(and beyond).

at least would u suggest a different one for the same money? Around 300 to 350 euros.

Ideally under 300- 350. I am willing to go to 400, if there's an insane chance.



2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

I'm looking at 14" to 15.6". Something not too bulky but with a comfortable screen size for daily use.


3. What screen resolution do you want?

At least Full HD (1920x1080).


4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Portability for sure.


5. How much battery life do you need?

Not a huge priority, but at least 5 hours of regular use would be great.



6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low, Medium or High)?

Yes, light gaming only. Such as

League of Legends (Medium settings)
Indie games like Hollow Knight, Hades, Terraria, Stardew etc

I don’t expect high-end gaming, just stable performance on Low–Medium settings



7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

Mostly browsing, streaming, documents, and light multitasking



8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

512GB SSD tbh
