Hello everyone!

First I want to mention that I already have a power supply - B600 from Cooler Master, it's a cheap unit I bought due to financial reasons. Been using it for the past 2 years and didn't have any real problems, but recently I noticed there is some coil whine here and there in my PC. All my other parts are very high quality: Strix 970, Z170 Deluxe motherboard, Intel i5-6500 and all that sort of stuff so I decided it is time to upgrade my PSU since I heard that PSU's may cause coil whine to other components even though it doesn't coil whine itself (looking at you GTX 970). I really hope I haven't damaged something in my PC from using this PSU for so much time especially hearing that it has coil whine. If anyone can give me some information about wether or not it could have harmed my PC or if it's a good idea to switch would be appreciated.

In case you think I should upgrade like me, what PSU would you recommend? I've been looking at this model: CM V650S, not sure if it's good or not. Any recommendations are accepted, I chose Cooler Master randomly, no idea if they are good :D. I want a price not exceding 130$. I may make my price tag higher if it's not enough but I am generally looking at this price range!

Thank you, will check it out. BTW want to add that I would like the power supply to either have black or white cables. I don't want power supplies with colored cables :p,

As owner of a XFX ProSeries (semi-modular 650W) the main cable (24 pin to the motherboard) comes black with a kind of shield black too, check photos if you want.

Also, you can buy a full-modular, and buy the cables in some modding store, (or make yourself(?))
