Choosing a psu/overclocking/boosting fps

Hey there. What's going on is that I'm trying to figure out how to bypass the bottlenecks in my system. Current setup:
I7 2600k 3.4ghz (want to overclock; it's on a closed loop corsair liquid cooler)
780 classified
780 direct cu ii
Asus p8z77-v pro mobo
2x 1tb hdds
1x 128GB ssd and 1x 40gb ssd
Basic optical drive
Corsair rm850 gold plus (850watt psu)

Right now I'm certain that my cpu is a bottleneck for my build, and I'm trying to figure out if I can OC it, and by how much, to get frame increases. Any help is greatly appreciated.

you can easilly overclock to 4.0 ghz any more than that well u run the risk

To destroy the CPU. The CPU is fine and not a bottleneck but you can OC to get more fps.

Well basically it's unlocked so you can overclock but be aware of what temps you reach iv'e even heard people overclock to 5.4 ghz you can do it but it will shorten the life of your cpu so they say
