I am looking for a good build for £300 for my mate. I looked at some decent parts, this is the list:

Apu - AMD A8 6600K
Mobo - Gigabyte GA-F2A68M-HD2
Ram - Kingston hyperX Fury 8gb ddr3 1866Mhz (2 x 4gb)
Storage - Seagate 1tb 7200rpm 64mb cache sata3 HDD
Psu - Evga 500w 80+ non modular
Gpu - (already have) GeForce 6600 silence
Os - windows 8.1 full
Network card - using Ethernet cable so don't need one

If you have any suggestions that would be great, I am looking at at least a quad core cpu or apu and at least 8gb of ram, speed doesn't really matter but 1866mhz would be nice. The gpu will be upgraded in the future to a gtx 660 which is my current gpu which I will be giving him as I upgrade. When it comes the the 6600 silence gpu we are using that because we have it on hand and don't have that much cash to throw at the moment.

Would rather get this build as getting a apu is quite useless since 20% of the price is just the graphics.

Do not use a Seagate Barracuda hard drive, they are not as reliable as Western Digital series. Overall it is a decent build for such price tag
