Hello everyone!

I have an ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 motherboard and AMD FX 8320 8-Core CPU and i want to upgrade the RAM and the graphic card!

I was wondering if i have to upgrade my RAM to 8GB (Dual Channel) or 16GB (Dual channel)? And the RAMs which i find are the Kingston Technology HyperX Beast Series 16GB Kit DDR3 at 1866MHz or the Kingston HyperX Beast 8 GB Kit (2x4 GB) 1600MHz DDR3?

Which one of these or another do you suggest? Also i want to change the graphic card, so which one do you propose for these specifications?

Please ask me anything you want or anything that i may had forgotten!

Thank you in advance!!

Yes it does but in the real world you wont notice any difference... its a bit close like a usb 2.0 pendrive on a 3.0 usb it will still work but should run like a 2.0 not like a 3.0.. but because that's a gpu not a pendrive its les noticeable

If you buy two of the same ram and insert it on the same color slot should run as dual channel... yes its true

Buy a Sapphire Radeon R9 270 2GB Dual-X Video Card for 149.99 with -$10.00 mail-in rebate or $159.99with no rebate.

So you mean each double channel kit on each color! Right?

Which is better for gaming? nVidia or AMD? And what are the main differences?

that is like choosing intel vs amd... amd its cheaper but nvidia its more stable also nvidia has the more marketing in games but do the same as amd. there's why you see in some games that says nvidia blablabla runs better for cod. or the other way around.

it depends on the game. some games are better optimized for AMD, and some for nvidia.
generaly, nvidea has better drivers and use less power but are a bit more expensive.
then AMD uses more power but are a bit less expesnive

This is what i recommend... http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ymdy8d see the top right corner that this would runs close to 355w. remember that this is with only does parts on them... so if you have a powersupply under 500w you should consider a new one... also thats not the price of your buy you should remove the Motherboard and cpu for a real price of this upgrades

Still it works on them the only difference that your GPU would run on the highest limit pcie 2.0 supports but not a big difference. still they should work fine.

Yes 1 pair on the blue the other pair on the black but if there exactly the same brand speed and size so no need to place them like that just insert them

So if i choose an PCI Express 3.0 GPU on a PCI Express 2.0 motherboard socket, it will work on it's highest 2.0?

Yes it does but in the real world you wont notice any difference... its a bit close like a usb 2.0 pendrive on a 3.0 usb it will still work but should run like a 2.0 not like a 3.0.. but because that's a gpu not a pendrive its les noticeable

Yes its overkill but to get the best from his motherboard and get better performance its a great choice and that one also have a low latency of 9 compare to others that have 11.... also one 1600mhz with 11 compare with a 2133 its a big real world difference and this one has a cool and useful heatsink

Think of 1 quad channel RAM kit as two matched dual channel kits.( that's how your motherboard will "see" them.) 😀
