Hi guys im going to get a gtx970 graphics card

I cant make a choice between 2 models

1-MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G

2-Zotac gtx 970 amp extreme edition

in my country zotac costs %9 more then msi

its fps better %5-8 in games

so is zotac worth its money?

82 degrees is good and the MSI runs at 90+ degrees? Either temp under load stock or OC for ANY 970 is not good by any means... I'd question the testing methods and conditions; i.e. case, psu, etc. used when taking these temps or your data is skewed.

I have the MSI GTX 970 and have it OC'd to 1500Mhz and it never goes above 61 degrees, never. This OC is without even touching voltage and could possibly go more without a voltage tweak.

The two top-tier 970s right now are in fact the Gigabyte G1 and the MSI 970 Gaming; superior cooling and power applications 8+6 pin power connections. Zotac and the remaining 970 manufacturers do not have this power-pin setup and it does make a difference for consistency of voltage when clocking stock or OC especially.

Just because the Zotac has a higher out-of-box clock, does not mean more reliable and better performer... Try and "amp" that clock and see what happens...

The Zotac, Asus and EVGA are well, take your chances...
