Question Chrome & CPU usage Windows 10

Why is Chrome suddenly using 98% of CPU?

I have performed a Windows 10, clean install, Google Chrome clean install.
I have a 9 month old Lenovo c940 laptop i7 with 16g of RAM.
I have followed all the instructions i have read on this forum and others, but they all suggest I clean install and clear history, I use 1 extension, BitWarden
Where should I look next?

like why do you have so many tab open. and what site are they open to?

I have read that chrome normally opens many processes. The Image I posted is just the process tree expanded. For the record, I only have 2 tabs open. The sites are this forum and my school homepage.

I have 5 tab open and only 6 process.
close all the other tab and start with a blank tab

I used End Task to kill all the processes then I opened chrome again . it opened with 12 processes (occasionally would jump to 13 and then back to 10) I disabled my only extension (BitWarden) and and now it opens as 9 processes. If I turn the extension back on it jumps back up to 12/13

I'll keep an eye on it by leaving task manager open and see if I can find out what is creating all these extra processes

Just looked over and its up to 16 processes. and I haven't opened anything new

does the cpu usage go down when you disabled BitWarden? might want to contact them or use something else
