Hi. I have a new laptop using google chrome. My old Windows 7 PC used firefox. The browser remembered entries made into text fields including passwords. I don't have this. Does chrome not support this or is there a setting?

TIA

Paul.

When you used Firefox, had you set up an account with Firefox so it can remember those settings?

The same can be done with Chrome, you set up an account and logon to it on the browser to remember those details across devices.
You need to make a Google Account and then logon using it.

I don't know if Chrome will remember passwords without an account to associate them with - this will tell you - https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95606?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform=Desktop

Or you can just install Firefox and logon to same account to have it remember it all now..

That sounds strange. I don't have to open a firefox account.
I am not just talking about user names and passwords. Websites I have used before will automatically fill in the details.

I am talking about general remembering of text fields.

Reset all of your settings in chrome to default and it should work. You turned off the predictive search
