Question Chrome mystery "aw snap!" msg

lenovo i3 8gb laptop running win10 and uptodate chrome.

issue concerns repeated "aw snap" results when clicking on image links

only site that seems to cause this problem is:
https ://i.ibb.co/
and
https: //imgbb.com/

have tried most of the suggested YT and google search result fixes - but no joy

any help at all appreciated

Do you get the same error with Edge and Internet Explorer?

■ edge is fine - loads //imgbb.com/ and //i.ibb.co/ images without issue.
■ i don't have ie to test.

as regards chrome:
■ fully updated
■ have allowed both url addresses in chrome settings
■ tried disabling extensions one-by-one to see which causes the issue
■ tried disabling all four extensions simultaneously (adblock resizer, tabredirect)

above makes no difference at all

one thing that may be important: when the //i.ibb.co/ link is clicked - chrome loads the image for about ¼-second before the "aw snap!" appears

If you have Windows 10, you have IE. Go to Start -> Windows Accessories -> Internet Explorer. I'd say though that if it works with Edge, it'll probably work with IE. If that's the case, you should report the problem to the Google people since Chrome is their product.
