Chrome stops working after launch

I've been having problems with google chrome for some time. The first thing is that everytime i clicked on Settings tab it would say google chrome has stopped working. and Just today it has stopped working all together. every time i launch it it says it has stopped working. I have tried to uninstall it , including deleting the chrome folders in Users/appdata/google/ folders I'm at a complete loss now. I'm running Windows 7 and here is what event view is showing for the error:

Try using another browser, Firefox preferabl.. Most likely a Chrome update isn't getting along with your computer. It's possible some registry settings have been corrupted. If another browser doesn't work, then malware is a possibility.

All other browsers work fine. I want to use chrome as this has been my goto browser for years with all my devices connecting to my gmail account. thanks for the advise though.

You might want to pass on the "One-Quick Troubleshooter" - nothing to say it's not mal/adware. All the other suggestions on the page though look legit

thanks for the quick reply. I did try all the steps listed. I do not want to install that program though as i feel it might just add malware. Just seems weird that google doesn't have a better solutions and or troubleshooting area on their website for their products. i even uninstalled chrome, deleted all the folders in appdata and program files and removed all of chrome from my registry.

Be sure to post the even viewer log again for anyone there who might look into the problem.
